For those of you that regularly read this blog or attend the Saturday night worship service at Meadow Park may not realize that you are our best method of evangelizing the Saturday night worship service.
By inviting friends, co-workers, family members--you are helping bring people into a community. A community that is there for support, friendship, accountability, worship and some times, just plain fun.
Here are the web addresses to our websites that you can just cut and paste into emails and send to friends about Saturday night worship and Meadow Park.
Thanks for Evangelizing!

Describing Worship
In keeping with the theme of “worship,” these are just a few things I jotted down…in the “CafĂ© de Traci” as I was eating lunch in my car today….. “What IS Worship?”
Worship Is….
A two way invitation: an invitation for us to step into the Holy of Holies; and not only our invitation to God to meet us where we are, but to push aside all of the clutter in our lives and actually ALLOW Him to commune with us
An offering: of ourselves, wholly imperfect, to be seen as perfect through the eyes of a Holy God
A sacrifice: as we, in our humanity, endure life and circumstances that are often beyond our control and in the midst of it, finding a glimmer of hope, reminding us that we are to give thanks in whatever season of life we may find ourselves in as we are enveloped by our Understanding God
A time of reflection & renewal: as we lift up our praises to God, our faith is strengthened and as a result, become truly emotional about the God we serve
A place of refuge: a place where, even for a moment, to shut out the chaos and confusion, the busyness, the sadness, that plague us in daily life…I believe we meet in a place called “a sanctuary” for a reason….it is God’s desire for us to feel that HE is our sanctuary; our place of sanity in an often times insane world
An overwhelming display of public affection: from the created to the Creator; from the Creator to His created as He descends upon us and wholly envelops us in His love….if we allow Him to; it’s a heartfelt cry to a Faithful and Loving God
A time of repentance and reckoning: where the eyes of our hearts are enlightened to the sin that, at times, so easily besets us in our journey and reminds us to look toward the redemptive love of Jesus Christ that covers and removes our sin as far as the east is from the west
A means of communication between us and God: the giving and receiving of love
A time of seeking; A time of waiting; A time of filling as God pours Himself into us; A time of restoration
A gift – that a Holy God would actually long to have communion with the imperfect – that He would even allow us to engage with Him
Intentional: God rewards an intentional giver….my dad always says you can never out-give God
18 to 32
This is the age range that is missing from church these days according to Barna and other experts on this group of people. My question is this true at Meadow Park? Is this true at the Saturday night service? Is this true at the Sunday morning services?
The big question that every church I think is asking is if this is the case, how do we engage, how do we be relevant, how do we (with out pushing them further away) ask them why they aren't coming?
Thoughts?
See you Saturday.
3 Ways to Get Someone You Know to Saturday Night Worship
It's been said, (and I happen to agree with it) that word-of-mouth is the best form of advertising. It's also by far the cheapest form of advertising--which is perfect for Saturday night worship. Here are three ways to get the word out about Saturday night worship.
1. Find out your neighbor/co-worker/friend's favorite restaurant and chances are, there's one near Meadow Park. Invite them to Saturday night worship then take them out after the service.
2. Almost EVERYONE has a cell phone these days---text them. Even if they don't know how to text. Text them anyway, they'll enjoy the message
3. Tell them there's free coffee and cookies during worship. Free stuff always works.
If you have any of your own ideas...feel free to add them to the comments link below.

Let It Rain
The title of this post was inspired by Jon Kissner's comment which you can read below in the comments section.
Jon's comment was in response to the God-timed rain storm we had during this past Saturday night worship. It was the perfect addition to the service--something that only God could do. Make it rain. It simply reminds us that God's timing is perfect and when we wait on the Lord...He will provide.
Thanks to all those that came and worshiped at the first official new Saturday night worship service. Remember, it's every Saturday night from now on at 6pm!
See you Saturday.
How to Sleep-in Sundays
Step 1. Attend the Saturday Night Worship service @ 6pm
(by the way, the service now is every Saturday night from now on!)
Step 2. Turn your alarm off when you get home after the service.
Step 3. Set your thermostat to 68 degrees for a nice cool night.
Step 4. The next morning...sleep in!
That's it!
See you Saturday Night.
Fairing the Storm
It was great to see so many of you at Saturday Night Worship this past weekend, given that just an hour before worship the tornado sirens went off.
We want to remind you that starting September 8th @ 6pm, we will have Saturday night worship every Saturday night as a worship option for Meadow Park church.
Bring your friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. Chances are...this is not the type of worship service they've experienced in the past--or even expected.
Check this blog for updates as we get closer to the 8th. Also, sign up at the left to get email updates!
