For those of you that don't, 160 is the maximum characters you can have in a text message (including spaces and punctuation).

My question/challenge for anyone who reads this is, if you were going to text someone about worship--could you do it in 160 characters? I am shy by nature, so the fact that I am up in front of people, singing and playing and even jumping up and down now J gives evidence to the Word of God when it says that HE will empower you to do what you never thought you could do. As I have watched my dreams unfolding before me from the time I was a little girl, singing at the top of my lungs into a hairbrush along with Sandi Patty, to being a worship leader, I marvel at the journey on which God has walked with me, carried me, and, (dare I even admit it), often dragged me along, kicking and screaming…..I began to really meditate on what worship is and what we, as worship leaders, seek with all of our hearts to communicate to our congregation……we deeply desire for the passion that burns in our hearts to be translated into our song and our expression, so that it reaches to the very depths of the worshiper, allowing them to see the Greatness of our God and, in turn, be inclined to worship Him.

I love the term “worship experience” - - - and I do believe in the intentional atmosphere of worship that we have created Saturday Nights at Meadow Park….it is my prayer that we continue to invite God into our midst and to be intentional in worshipping Him. Thank you for allowing me to share this journey of life with you all…I consider myself blessed…and I look forward to each worship experience we are able to embrace together….see ya Saturday! Traci Wurschmidthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07846161418368603268noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3076332435032706066.post-35235850643578554852007-09-20T11:03:00.000-04:002007-09-20T11:13:45.272-04:0018 to 32This is the age range that is missing from church these days according to Barna and other experts on this group of people. My question is this true at Meadow Park? Is this true at the Saturday night service? It's also by far the cheapest form of advertising--which is perfect for Saturday night worship. Here are three ways to get the word out about Saturday night worship.

1. Find out your neighbor/co-worker/friend's favorite restaurant and chances are, there's one near Meadow Park. Invite them to Saturday night worship then take them out after the service.

2. Almost EVERYONE has a cell phone these days---text them. Even if they don't know how to text. Text them anyway, they'll enjoy the message

3. Tell them there's free coffee and cookies during worship. Free stuff always works.

If you have any of your own ideas...feel free to add them to the comments link below.

See you Saturday!Kevin Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16640399138468934487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3076332435032706066.post-4061919802474963282007-09-10T10:19:00.000-04:002007-09-10T10:24:57.275-04:00Let It RainThe title of this post was inspired by Jon Kissner's comment which you can read below in the comments section.

Jon's comment was in response to the God-timed rain storm we had during this past Saturday night worship. It was the perfect addition to the service--something that only God could do. Make it rain. It simply reminds us that God's timing is perfect and when we wait on the Lord...He will provide.

Thanks to all those that came and worshiped at the first official new Saturday night worship service. Remember, it's every Saturday night from now on at 6pm!

See you Saturday.Kevin Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16640399138468934487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3076332435032706066.post-13852670358957124072007-09-05T16:33:00.000-04:002007-09-05T16:56:49.629-04:00How to Sleep-in SundaysStep 1. On Saturday July 28th at 6pm, Meadow Park will open its doors for Saturday night worship. These "beta" services are designed to give you a glimpse of what Saturday night worship may look like once we go "official" September 8th.

We would like to hear your feedback on these three "beta" services. So please, invite friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc and tell us what you think. See you on the 28th!Kevin Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16640399138468934487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3076332435032706066.post-68882795982835308312007-07-05T09:03:00.000-04:002007-08-07T14:19:04.588-04:00New Promo Video Not ReadyDue to circumstances beyond our control, (ok, Kevin just didn't get the time this week) the new promo video will not be ready for this Sunday July 8th. I've had time for the breakouts and main sessions to sink in and wanted to give my thoughts on some of what I've learned that could be applied at Meadow Park. In this particular post I'm just focusing on Dan Kimball's message.

Point 1: There is a growing interest in spiritual things and Jesus in our culture.

What does that mean for Meadow Park: More reason that ever to continually develop new ministries and fresher more relevant worship services.

Point 2: There is a fascination in our culture with Jesus. It may seem superficial—but it is a good thing, because we can use it to start spiritual conversations.

What does that mean for Meadow Park: Internally we need to be engaging in conversation with MP attenders--find out what "conversations" MP attenders are getting into.

Point 3: Gandhi said: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are not like your Christ."

What does that mean for Meadow Park: Replace the word "Christians" with "Meadow Park" and then ask if this is true.

Kevin Cooperhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16640399138468934487noreply@blogger.com
