Reason #45 to attend Saturday Night Worship

New Promo Video On It's Way!!

The newest Saturday night worship promo will debut Sunday morning July 8th during both services (You can view the previous promo video at the left). This date is significant because it's exactly 2 months to the date of the official launch of Saturday night worship at Meadow Park.

If you'd like a sneak preview of the new promo video, send an email here.

What I Learned from Willow

It's been a week since my experience at the worship arts conference at Willow Creek Church. I've had time for the breakouts and main sessions to sink in and wanted to give my thoughts on some of what I've learned that could be applied at Meadow Park. In this particular post I'm just focusing on Dan Kimball's message.

  • Point 1: There is a growing interest in spiritual things and Jesus in our culture.
    • What does that mean for Meadow Park: More reason that ever to continually develop new ministries and fresher more relevant worship services.
  • Point 2: There is a fascination in our culture with Jesus. It may seem superficial—but it is a good thing, because we can use it to start spiritual conversations.
    • What does that mean for Meadow Park: Internally we need to be engaging in conversation with MP attenders--find out what "conversations" MP attenders are getting into.
  • Point 3: Gandhi said: "I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are not like your Christ."
    • What does that mean for Meadow Park: Replace the word "Christians" with "Meadow Park" and then ask if this is true.

How Can I Help?

As we move closer to our Saturday Night Worship experience at Meadow Park, we are always looking for volunteers. If you're interested in volunteering for Saturday night worship (or any service times for the matter) please contact Tim Julian, Kevin Cooper or Jon Kissner.

Where Are They Now?

No, it's not the latest post on where your favorite child stars are now, so you're going to have to settle for where Tim J., Beth H., Judy W., Matt W., Greg R., Kevin C., Diane T., May-Lee R. and Jon K are. Well, we're spending 3 days in the Windy City (Chicago) at the Willow Creek Arts Conference.

We are going to be hear some great speakers on how to better serve Meadow Park in the area of worship--a lot of which will be applied to Saturday Night Worship!

A New Worship Experience

I’m excited about this new experience at Meadow Park that will provide a third worship option on Saturday night @ 6pm. We’ll begin with three pre-launch experiences so we can all get a feel for what it will be like: July 28, August 11 and 25. Then the official launch will be September 8. We’ll meet in the gym for a more casual experience than Sunday mornings. I hope you’ll give it a try.
